Trafficking in human beings

GenderFocus endorses the UN definition of trafficking in human beings in accordance with the UN Convention from 2000 (The “Palermo” Protocol).

GenderFocus argues that it is necessary to approach and combat trafficking in human beings as a multifaceted problem, approaching it out of the principles of human rights, an empowerment perspective, a gender perspective, a child perspective, and a development perspective.

GenderFocus offers a long experience on working against trafficking in human beings with experience from awareness raising, training, networking, lobbying and development on methods for practical cooperation between key stakeholders in the field in Sweden and internationally.
